Orthodontic treatment with ceramic braces to improve crowding.
Depending on your individual case you will be able to see your new smile as little as 6 months in some cases.
Unlike traditional orthodontics, there are no wires or brackets involved with Invisalign. Simply slip the aligners onto the teeth and take them out to eat, drink and brush your teeth. You will need to replace your new set of aligners every two weeks. The aligners will gradually move your teeth into their final prescribed position.
If the words ‘teeth straightening’ conjures up images of teens in train-track braces, you might be put off getting your teeth straightened. Luckily, with Invisalign®, all that has changed.
With no wires, no brackets and no braces, Invisalign® offers a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. It’s like the secret agent of orthodontics! Invisalign® works by using a series of clear and comfortable aligners that no one will be able to tell you’re wearing.
They’re barely visible on your teeth and removable for when you want to eat, brush your teeth or attend a special social or professional event.
You can clean your aligner by using a toothbrush and a small amount of toothpaste every time you take it in and out. Once a week use RETAINER BRITE provided by your orthodontist. We will explain how to use this and there is instructions on the box. Always put your aligners in the container provided if you are not wearing them.
Yes – you will be able to eat normally. The aligner can be removed before eating and drinking. We advise you to brush your teeth after every meal to ensure no food particles are trapped in the aligners – causing tooth decay.
Invisalign treatment starts with a consultation with an Invisalign-trained doctor. Your doctor will evaluate your smile and then map out a precise, customized digital treatment plan that showcases the step-by-step transformation of your smile.
Once you approve your plan, your unique aligners will be created. You will wear each set of aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, changing to a new set of aligners every 1 to 2 weeks, as directed by your doctor. Each set of aligners will gently and gradually shift your teeth into place, according to your treatment plan, until you reach your beautiful new smile.
Designed for the front ‘smiling’ teeth, Invisalign may not be appropriate if you have more extensive orthodontic requirements. If, for example, there are deeper problems concerning bite and function, your dentist may recommend an alternative treatment.
This of course depends on your individual case, but typical treatment times are around nine months. We’ll likely fit a permanent retainer behind your teeth after treatment to maintain the results.

Dear Patient,
As you may be aware, we have only been seeing patients for emergencies to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as mandated by Central Government. We are delighted to announce that as of the 8th June 2020 we opened in a reduced capacity with certain limitations still in place for everyone’s safety. However as restrictions are gradually eased over the next few weeks, we hope things will return to something resembling normality with respect to the dental services we can provide.
Our community has been through a lot over the past few months, and all of us are looking forward to supporting all our patients. While many things have changed, one thing that remains the same is our commitment to your care and safety.
You would have noticed in your previous visits that infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. With the current situation in mind, we want to tell you about the added measures being taken to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible.
Our practice follows infection control recommendations made by the Department of health and social care – Health Technical Memorandum 01-05, as well as the Standard Operating Procedures. To ensure that we are up to date on any new clinical guidance, we also follow the advice of the, Care Quality Commission, Public Health England, the British Dental Association, and the General Dental Council.
You may notice some changes at your next appointment which have been made to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call the practice or visit our website.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbours, and friends.
Sincerely,
The Team at Zental
